Application & Performance
QUIK-SHIELD® Seam Sealer is typically applied in a single application to achieve uniform coverage and proper seal integrity.
- Tack-free in approximately 2 hours
- Dry to touch in approximately 6 hours
- Cure time varies based on temperature, humidity, and thickness
Recommended application:
- Approximately 80–120 linear feet per application (depending on surface and conditions)
- Must result in a continuous, void-free, pinhole-free seal
Application Guidelines
- Do not apply below 40°F ambient temperature
- Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces
- Avoid application when rain is expected
- Ensure all surfaces are free from dust, oil, mildew, or loose material
- Asphaltic substrates may require a bleed-blocking primer to prevent discoloration
QUIK-SHIELD® Seam Sealer may be used in areas with ponded water, though proper drainage is recommended by industry standards.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store between 35°F and 75°F
- Shelf life: 18 months (unopened containers)
- Can be stored in unheated warehouses without risk of freezing
