Plant Manager

SWD Urethane has an exceptional career opportunity for experienced Plant Manager in a key on-site leadership role at our chemical blending and polyol plant in Mesa, AZ.  The Plant Manager is a key member of Management and represents operations on the senior management team for the Company, responsible for strategic planning and tactical day-to-day operational excellence deploying continuous improvements to drive cost and quality competitiveness and increase customer satisfaction by advocating SWD Urethane’s core values: Safety First, Passion for Growth, Commitment to Excellence, Display Professionalism & Integrity, Deliver Solutions and Teamwork. Responsible for all aspects of plant operations, while leading and directing staff to achieve and exceed targets and goals. Requires demonstrated success on-going process improvement is a critical part of the plant culture and key to success, including the development and management of programs improving operations, quality,  facilities, training, maintenance, cost, environmental health & safety, plant optimization, and capital project execution.

The Plant Manager will upgrade and implement key performance indicators and metrics throughout the plant to measure, understand, and improve operations, and as needed, reorganize the production team and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Utility Operator – 1st Shift

This is an entry level position and training will be provided. Successful applicants will possess and demonstrate a focus on safety and quality, be self-starters and enjoy being active working in a fast-paced plant, warehouse and loading yard environment. Utility Operators drive forklifts moving supplies, raw materials and finished products onto trucks. This job requires frequent heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.

First Shift Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday – Friday with overtime as scheduled

 

Chemical Compounder- 1st Shift

This is a skilled position and training will be provided for candidates unfamiliar with chemical batch processing polyol and polyurethane systems. Successful applicants will possess experience in large batch chemical compounding and demonstrate a focus on safety and quality. Must be a self-starter and enjoy being active working in a fast-paced plant, warehouse and open yard environment. Chemical Compounders also drive forklifts moving supplies, raw materials and finished products and requires frequent heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.

First Shift Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday – Friday with overtime as scheduled

 

Jr. Building Scientist/Codes Specialist – Full Time

This is a skilled position that involves (25%) travel throughout the U.S. Our Building Scientist provides support to R&D, sales and customers such as contractors, building owners, building code officials, architects, engineers etc.  Successful candidates will possess expertise with product physical/chemical properties, code compliance, product recommendations for building energy performance modeling for code compliance that you’ll apply day to day on the job, in reports and presentations. Your knowledge and helpful attitude is essential handling industry calls about SFC, CAN/ULC, and ICC, etc. Your keen attention to detail is required with third party audits, scheduling and overseeing third party sample witnessing for product testing and/or certification conducted on-site at SWD, customers’ sites and laboratory settings.
